So this past week I've received many of the glasses I've done back because they were off axis. I needed to try some trials on the machine so that i could try to figure out what was wrong. I ended up deciding to trace both R and L sides of the frame so that the machine could edge the lenses specifically to their shape and not do it off of symmetry. So far it's been going well and i haven't seen many of my past jobs come back.
Also we had to wait for a large order of frames to come in. We had a lot of people's glasses on hold because those frames were put on backorder by the distributor. I finished edging them and was glad because they were beginning to take up a lot of space.

Seems better
I actually have some work this week. It's strange how it feels to have a normal work week when I haven't had one in a while. I've been pretty busy.

Slow Week
Not too many glasses last week. I finished up all my work quickly every day. Some days I helped in front with making appointments and checking people in. Other days I stayed in the back looking for something to do and hoping someone came in to repair their glasses or to get their lenses changed.

Machine Fixed
The guy finally came in and fixed the machine. The polycarbonate lenses weren't staying put while being cut and causing us to be behind on many orders. The machine works now and everything is back on track.
